The death toll from the stampede in South Korea increased to 120 dead

At least 120 people were killed and 100 others were injured in a stampede in the Itayeon area in the center of the South Korean capital, Seoul, amid Halloween celebrations, Yonhap News Agency reported on Saturday evening.
Numerous victims were seen sprawled out on the ground along the side of the road in social media videos, covered in blue plastic.

Witnesses reported that it was challenging for rescue services to get past the crowd to assist the victims because the streets surrounding the accident site were so congested.
According to earlier reports from Yonhap, the stampede was thought to have caused heart attacks in roughly 50 people.
According to the Bloomberg News Agency, South Korean President Yun Suk Yol urged officials to treat the injured as soon as possible.

The number of people killed in the stampede in South Korea rose to 120.
