Study: The displacement of more than seven million people inside Ukraine

According to a research done by international organisations, more than seven million people were internally displaced from Ukraine up until last August.
The majority of the displaced people were women, and about a third of them were uprooted more than once, according to a report released on Friday by the International Organization for Migration, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and the European Union’s asylum agency.

On the other hand, up until last August, more than six million individuals who were displaced within or outside of Ukraine chose to return to their homes.
The United Nations Refugee Agency estimates that 14.3 million people have fled Ukraine overall.
Three quarters of them went to four countries of the neighboring European Union, namely: Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia..
