More than 150 people were killed and injured in the collapse of an India bridge

Officials in India said on Sunday that a suspension bridge collapsed in the western state of Gujarat, sending hundreds of people plummeting into a river and injuring several of them critically.
More than 400 people were reportedly on the bridge at the moment they plunged into the Machu River in the town of Morby, according to the local TV station “Zi News.”
The broadcaster also displayed images of people hanging to the bridge wires as rescue workers tried to save them.

On Sunday night, the more than 100-year-old bridge that spans the Macho River collapsed, injuring numerous people who were standing in the water.

A bridge collapse in India resulted in more than 150 fatalities and injuries.
