Cross gets the first red card in his career

Despite having a stellar football career, Tony Kroos received the first red card on Sunday, a prize far less priceless than any medals he may have previously won.
In the match that saw Real Madrid and Girona draw 1-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Kroos received a red card for the first time in his official match No. 634 at the level of first-class teams.
In stoppage time of the game, the German international player received a yellow card before being forced to block Alex Garcia during a rapid counterattack by Girona.

Cross, 32, was forced to leave as a result, and referee Mario Meliro Lopez requested that he do so.
Cross played at the highest levels in Germany with Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen, who played for him for 18 months at the beginning of his career.

Cross joined the Bundesliga for the first time in 2007 and rapidly rose to the position of star player on the Bayern Munich squad. Days after helping Germany win the World Cup, Cross transferred to Real Madrid.
Cross won five Champions League championships, three Bundesliga championships, three Spanish League championships, and five Club World Cup championships.
In his time with clubs, Cross made 130 goals and scored 59 goals.

Cross participated in 634 games throughout all competitions, including 132 Champions League games and 253 games in the Bundesliga, Spanish League, and Germany.

Cross receives his first career caution.
