President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi today emphasised Egypt’s eagerness to develop trade and economic cooperation relations with Qatari companies and businessmen and investment development during his meeting with representatives of the Qatari Businessmen Association at the Forum and the First International Exhibition of Industry. He did this in support of the economic development process and within a joint framework to maximise the interests of both parties. and taking use of the possibilities that exist between the two friendly nations.
President Al-Sisi praised the improvements in economic and trade ties between the two nations over the past few years and explained that the massive projects being carried out in Egypt from a variety of investment opportunities, led by the Suez Canal region’s axis of development, which includes many industrial and logistical areas, provide numerous opportunities for Qatari businesses that want to profit from Egypt.
Sheikh Faisal bin Qasim Al Thani, for his part, expressed gratitude to President Sisi for inviting members of the League of Qatari Businessmen to the meeting, which is a great opportunity to strengthen ties and cooperation between the two nations. He also emphasised their desire to discuss how to best advance this cooperation, particularly given the abundance of opportunities and investment opportunities in Egypt.
The heads and representatives of the Qatari companies expressed their willingness to work with Egypt, reviewed their investment plans there and plans to expand on their current projects there, and emphasised the significance of bolstering the role of the joint business council and improving the channels of communication between the private sector representatives of the two nations.
Al-Sisi reaffirms Egypt’s desire to expand its economic and trade ties with Qatar.
