One of the largest Qur’ans written in the eighteenth century was sold at Sotheby’s auction in London, the capital of the British Empire, for 819 thousand pounds.
This came during the auction held by the house, in London, entitled “The Arts of the Islamic and Indian World”, including the eastern carpets, which includes the auction many paper manuscripts and different Quranic Qur’an in terms of form and design, in addition to Islamic manual carpets.

Dar Sotheby claims that the enormous Qur’an paper, which measures 42.5″ x 58.5″ cm and is written on from the wall of splitting, zodiac, and the highest, dates back to the late Umayyad or early Abbasid period, around 750 metres.
This newspaper, according to Dar Al-Mazaya, was extracted from one of the biggest keffiyehin in the ninth century. The simplified decoration that focuses on the text is typical for the oldest period of the keffiyeh in the eighth century.

The verses in this manuscript are divided into groups of oblique lines that are seen in the earliest Qur’ans, such as the “Tashkent” Qur’an, which is dated to the beginning of the eighth century.
