A company plans to record a record for the longest passenger train in the world

According to Agence France-Presse, Retian Railways plans to run a 1. 9 km train, or exactly 1910 metres, with 100 passenger cars and 4 locomotives over the Albula/Bernina route from Braida to Bergon.
This route, which crosses 48 bridges, including the well-known Landfaser Bridge, and 22 tunnels, some of which twist around the mountains, was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2008.
The journey, which covers a distance of around 25 kilometres, lasts about an hour.

The purpose of recording the record, according to Renato Vasyati, director of Ritian, is to recognise some of Switzerland’s engineering accomplishments and commemorate the 175th anniversary of the founding of the Swiss railway.
