As of Friday (local time, early Saturday NZT), Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen have officially ended their 13-year marriage. The two celebrities, who alternately reached the pinnacles of football and fashion, were married for 13 years.
According to the court record, divorce papers were filed in Glades County, Florida, a rural area close to Lake Okeechobee. With no further information, it just states that the marriage was “irretrievably broken.” Other documents are sealed and confidential.
Brady and Bündchen both shared Instagram posts in which they claimed to have “amicably” come to the decision.
Although it is obviously painful to go through something like this, Bündchen added, “The decision to dissolve a marriage is never easy but we have grown apart and I only hope the best for Tom always.”
Both requested privacy and stated that their children came first in their lives.
After giving our divorce a lot of thought, we decided to do so, Brady wrote. Naturally, doing so is painful and challenging, just like it is for countless people who experience the same thing every day all across the world.
Just months after the seven-time Super Bowl champion ended his brief retirement, Brady announced his divorce during his 23rd NFL season, during which he suffered his first three-game losing streak in 20 years.
The quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who had previously expressed a wish to spend more time with Bündchen and his three children, initially declared his intention to leave the sport in February before changing his mind 40 days later.
What else do you need to demonstrate? Brady recalled telling Bündchen to her spouse on the sidelines following his most recent, record-breaking Super Bowl triumph.
Brady’s incentive to return was partially due to what he has referred to as “unfinished business” with the Buccaneers, despite the fact that he had stated that his retirement would give him the opportunity to devote his “time and energy on other matters that deserve my attention.” In an effort to repeat as champions, the club was unable to make it to the Super Bowl the previous year.
Bündchen told CBS This Morning in 2017 that she was concerned about her husband after he played through a concussion the previous year.
At the time, Brady’s then-team, the New England Patriots, and agency chose not to reply to her remarks, and an NFL representative claimed there was no evidence he had ever experienced a head injury. Later, Brady claimed he wanted to keep his medical history private.
Throughout the conversation, Bündchen said, “I mean, we don’t talk about it. But he has experienced concussions. I don’t really believe it’s anything anyone should experience.
“More recently, she argued that it was sexist to portray her as being yearning for her husband to retire from his job.
“Of course, I have my worries. He should be more present since this is a really brutal sport and I have kids, “In September, the supermodel spoke to Elle magazine. “I’ve absolutely discussed such topics with him numerous times. But in the end, I believe that everyone must choose a course of action that benefits them (them).

A little more than two years after their introduction via a common acquaintance, Bündchen and Brady got married twice.
They said their first “I dos” in early 2009 at a Catholic church in Santa Monica, California, before family and close friends, followed by an equally small second wedding at her house in Costa Rica nearly two months later.
Their daughter Vivian was born in 2012, and their son Benjamin was born later that year.
In addition, Brady has a 15-year-old son named Jack Moynahan from an earlier union with the actress Bridget Moynahan.
