The Swedish Prime Minister on persuading Turkey about joining NATO: It is not an easy task

Olf Christmson, the prime minister of Sweden, stated today, Friday, that it will be difficult for his nation to convince Turkey to accept its membership in NATO.
According to today’s Bloomberg News Agency, Turkey objected to Finland and Sweden joining NATO because Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is requesting that they turn over to Ankara the people that Turkey views as terrorists.
In front of Erdogan, Sweden and Finland want to demonstrate their cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

At a press conference with his Finnish counterpart, Sana Marin, on Friday in Helsinki, Christmson said, “I don’t think this is an easy duty, ready to go to Ankara to hold conversations with Erdogan.
The date of the Swedish Prime Minister’s meeting with the Turkish President was not specified in his statement.

According to the Swedish Prime Minister, convincing Turkey to join NATO is a difficult process.
