In Egypt, the dollar-to-pound exchange rate climbed significantly and without precedent during the course of the last 24 hours, rising by about 4 pounds within a few hours.

The increase in the price of the dollar came, after the value of the Egyptian pound fell against foreign currencies, after the Central Bank of Egypt’s decision to raise the value of the interest 2% in banks, which led to a significant increase in the dollar in preparation for Egypt to obtain a loan from the International Monetary Fund.
The Al-Baraka Banks, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Suez Canal, and Egyptian Export Development Bank recorded the highest dollar rate at a level of 23.
