The British Labor Party criticizes Sonak’s absenteeism from the climate summit

Prime Minister Rishi Sonak has been under fire from the COP27 climate summit that will be place in Egypt in November, according to British Labor Party leader Kiir Starmer. The news of Sonak’s cancellation from the summit was reposted by Starmer in a tweet, with the following comment: “Britain’s appearance to cooperate with international leaders is an opportunity that must be taken.” It is not an event to abandon it.

He emphasised that “the green action plan for prosperity will lower costs permanently and make Britain a major power in the area of clean energy.
Sonak decided to skip the climate summit on account of “important municipal duties,” such as getting ready for the emergency budget on November 17, the Sonak office reported on Thursday.

According to former prime minister Liz Tarras’ suggestion, the Buckingham Royal Palace declared on October 2 that Britain’s third Charles King will not attend the climate summit.
The king requested guidance from Mrs. Tarras, according to the palace, and it was “decided that the king would not attend mutual friendship and respect.”

Sonak’s absence from the climate meeting has drawn criticism from the British Labor Party.
