Prime Minister of Japan: Approval of a comprehensive economic package of 72 trillion yen to stimulate the economy

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said today, Friday, that the Council of Ministers approved a comprehensive economic package, worth 72 trillion Japanese yen, including measures to overcome the high prices and revitalize the economy.
In addition to bolstering the economy for the future, Kishida said during a news conference that this complete economic package is fighting to protect the lives and traditions of citizens.

He noted that the estimated 72 trillion Japanese yen package, which includes a 39 trillion yen financial spending package, is intended to boost GDP by 4.6%.
The Japanese Prime Minister stated, “The power bills will also be decreased by 20% in order to reduce the high prices of gasoline, so we can reduce prices to the consumer by more than 1.2% in the first half of next year.”

He continued by saying that steps would be taken to lower energy costs because the gas crisis and high prices for power and gasoline had also increased the cost of other commodities.
He pointed out that this package will protect the lives of citizens from high prices, explaining that these measures will be taken so that the government can provide financial support to electricity invoices.

He emphasised that the gasoline crisis will be handled using the same processes, with gasoline prices being decreased by 30 Japanese yen per litre through the end of the following year.
As their interests were harmed by the Korona virus in the Kofid-19, Kishida emphasised that 6 Japanese trillion yen trillion will be granted to the medium family and small and medium-sized businesses will be safeguarded from excessive prices.
