Moscow says mobilisation for Ukraine war is over

According to the Russian defence minister, the military has mobilised 300,000 reservists in accordance with an order from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Putin was informed by Sergei Shoigu on Friday (local time) that his order had been carried out and that there were no urgent plans to gather additional. He claimed that while 218,000 more were still being trained, 82,000 reservists had already been sent to the Ukraine.

Putin ordered the mobilisation in September in an effort to increase the number of Russian soldiers deployed along a 1,000 kilometre frontline in Ukraine. Tens of thousands have fled the country as a result of the action, which has sparked demonstrations.
According to activists and Russian media sources, many of those called up were instructed to acquire basic supplies like medical kits and flak jackets on their own, and some were even given rusty weapons. Many were slain without obtaining even the most fundamental retraining days after being called up.

Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, expressed doubt on Friday over the conclusion of Russia’s partial mobilisation.
“We feel completely different on the frontline,” said Zelensky in his nightly address, adding that “they are so poorly prepared and equipped, so badly treated by the command” that Russia may need another wave of people soon..

Moscow claims that the Ukraine war’s mobilisation is over.
