Tehran announced the death of the bomber on a holy shrine in the southern city of Shiraz days after the incident that sparked numerous questions.
The authorities said that the port died from his wounds despite all efforts to keep him alive as he was in the hospital after being shot by the Iranian forces, according to the Iranian news agency “IRNA”.
The political, security, and social deputy of the Faris Governorate further stated that the incident on Wednesday night was serious because it resulted in a death despite all attempts, adding that the attacker was hurt and detained following a fight with law enforcement and security personnel.
The executor was transferred to the Shiraz Hospital for treatment, and after his condition deteriorated, he passed away, he continued.
It is noteworthy that a shooter opened fire on worshippers at a shrine in Shiraz, the capital of the Faris Governorate, killing 15 of them and injuring 27 others.
ISIS launched the attack a day after the incident, raising suspicions among Iranian activists about the terrorist group’s involvement, particularly given that it happened to do so on the fortieth day since the death of the young Amini, whose departure was tortured by the Iranian ethics police, sparking widespread demonstrations that went all the way in Iran.
While some believe that the ISIS attack was a deliberate attempt to stifle protests by manipulating public opinion.
