Cuba faces the second fuel shortage crisis in seven months, as the authorities announced, at a time when waiting queues are abundant in front of many packing stations in Havana.
A day after the Cuba Petroleum (Q plant) administration reported “short of gasoline quantities available” and “difficulties” in delivery,” a crisis had developed.
Driver Michael Sanchez, who waited 10 hours to fill up his car in Havana, stated, “If you can find fuel, you can waste a lot of time waiting, as the lineups might extend around the entire neighbourhood.”
In a tweet on Wednesday, “Cube” referenced the shortage of logistical challenges and the higher-than-normal demand for the good.
Similar issues were seen in March in Cuba, which is run by a Communist regime and is experiencing its worst economic crisis in nearly 30 years as a result of the Corona and US sanctions.
According to government data, the present distribution issue began roughly three months after a catastrophic fire broke out in a storage facility in Matanzas Province, killing 17 people, destroying four enormous crude oil tanks and costing $ 100 million in damages from burning fuel alone.
Cuba is currently experiencing its second fuel scarcity crisis in seven months.
