The Council of Governors of the Asian Bank for Investment in Infrastructure “AIIB” decided in its virtual meeting to hold its eighth annual meetings next year for the first time on the African continent, in Sharm City Sheikh on September 25, 2023. In conjunction with hosting the climate summit in Sharm El-Sheikh in November, the Minister, Governor of Egypt, to the Asian Bank for Investment in Infrastructure (“AIIB”), expressed his desire for a greater role for the Asian Bank in supporting the Egyptian path to become a smart and green infrastructure. This qualifies the Egyptian state to achieve its target in the field of green transformation.
