The head of the central department of agricultural stone, Dr. Ahmed Al-Attar, unveiled a report that tracks all agricultural exports from January 1 to January 26, 2022.
Al-Attar stated exclusively today, Friday, that the total agricultural exports amounted to approximately 5 million, 285 thousand, and 820 tonnes of agricultural products, an increase of 335 thousand, 639 tonnes over last year, when it amounted to approximately 4 million, 950 thousand, and 181 during the same period.
Citrus, potatoes, fresh onions, grapes, fresh tomatoes, potatoes, strawberries, fresh beans, guava, garlic, mango, watermelon, and pomegranate are among the most significant agricultural exports, he noted.
Citrus agricultural exports total one million, 637 thousand seventy-one tonnes, while fresh potatoes exports total 861 thousand nine hundred and one tonnes, placing them second and third in agricultural exports, respectively, after al-Muwal. Grapes were put in the middle. 152 thousand 445 tonnes of agricultural exports put it in fourth place overall.
While the beans ranked fifth in exports with a total of 150 thousand and 864 tons, while Egypt’s exports of potatoes ranked sixth with a total amount of 104 thousand and 645 tons, while Egypt’s exports of pomegranate ranked seventh with a total of 98 thousand and 350 tons, followed in the eighth place of mango 55 thousand and 538 tonnes in total.
While strawberries took the eleventh position in agricultural exports with a total of 19 thousand and 425 tonnes, tomatoes took the ninth position with a total of 36 thousand and 248 tonnes, while garlic took the tenth position in Egyptian agricultural exports with a total of 28 thousand and 796 tonnes.
With a combined weight of 9096 tonnes, watermelon took 12th place in Egyptian exports, and guava ranked 13th in agricultural exports with a combined weight of 8722 tonnes.
