According to Zellinski, the Russian attacks on the power plants “will not destroy the morale of the Ukrainian people” in his address.
In the previous two days, he claimed, Kiev had shot down 23 drones.
Over the past two weeks, Russia has launched hundreds of missiles and drones against Ukraine’s electricity generation network, seriously damaging it and resulting in power disruptions.
“The bombardment won’t wipe us out. We are more frightened by hearing the enemy’s anthem on our soil than by hostile rockets in our skies.
“We are not the dark lines,” Zellinski declared.
Earlier on Thursday, a top official stated that the planned longer-term electricity cuts for Kyiv and four other districts may not be necessary.
According to Zellinski, Russia has already launched 4,500 missiles and more than 8,000 air strikes.
