Following a text message left by Eindhoven fans during the altercation that brought them together with their host Arsenal at the start of the week, the European Football Association (UEFA) decided today, Thursday, to forbid the Dutch club from selling tickets for its upcoming match outside of the European League.
Hours before Eindhoven’s second leg against Arsenal in the Netherlands, UEFA made its judgement.
In the final round of the group stage of the European League, Eindhoven will play Budo Gilmet Norwegian away from their home field.
UEFA also decided to punish Eindhoven $ 40,000 for throwing missiles, inciting widespread unrest, and causing damage to the game’s venue.
UEFA obliged Eindhon to communicate with the Arsenal administration within 30 days to settle the damage caused by the fans to the stadium seats.
Last week’s game between Eindhoven and Arsenal ended in a goal without a reply since it had been moved from September 30 due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
