The states of the rented response have committed to “appropriately” respond to any Russian attack on American commercial satellites, stressing that if such an attack were to take place, Russia would be held accountable.
The US National Security Council coordinator John Kirby said – in comments reported by the American (Al -Hurra) channel this evening – that any attack on the American infrastructure will face an appropriate response and in an appropriate way.
This is in response to claims made by Constantin Forentsov, a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, who claimed that Moscow may have legitimate goals in mind for the commercial satellites and friends of the US.
In the event that Russia attacks its satellites, the United States promises to retaliate.
