The United Nations invites the joint military committee in Sirte to bear responsibility to move forward towards Libya’s stability

The envoy of the United Nations Secretary -General in Libya, Abdullah Pateli, called on the joint military committee in Sirte to assume its moral and national responsibility to move forward towards the stability of Libya.
According to the Libyan News Agency, the UN representative made this statement during a press conference held following a meeting with the Joint Military Committee 5+5 members today, Thursday (WAL).

Patelli declared that his meeting with the joint military committee 5+5 members at its permanent headquarters in Sirte was successful, praising their strong desire to integrate the military establishment and their awareness of the necessity to unify Libya and restore security, peace, and prosperity. He also noted that they serve as an example for all parties, including politicians and members of civil society.

In order to address the execution of the remaining provisions of the ceasefire agreement, the Joint Military Committee held a 5+5 meeting today in Sirte with all of its members in the presence of the new UN representative Abdullah Pateli.

The Joint Military Committee in Sirte is invited by the UN to assume responsibility for advancing Libya’s stability.
