After three days of increases, the Japanese Nikki index fell today, Thursday, as investors concentrated on specific stock expectations as the season’s announcement season began.
At 27345.24 points, the Nikki index ended the day down 0. 32%. On occasion, the index showed positive readings throughout the morning session, but the gains later decreased.
The larger Topics index decreased by 0. 66%.
Canon was the biggest loser to Nikki, as 6. 22% decreased after the net profit expectations were modified.
As for Hitachi Building Equipment Arrow, it was Nikki’s largest winner after his profit announcement, rising 4. 71%. Currently, the company anticipates its operational profits for the fiscal year to be 17. 6% higher than anticipated.
The Bank of Japan holds its latest policy reviews Thursday and Friday this week, but most observers believe that it is unlikely to make any change to its ultra -facilitating monetary policy.
On the Nikki index, 225 equities saw 164 declines, 54 increases, and 7 settlements.
After three sessions of growth, the Nikki index ends a downward trend.
