According to the US Department of Labor’s statements released today, Thursday, the number of unemployment benefits climbed for the first time in the US for the week ending October 22.
The ministry stated that the number of unemployment subsidy requests increased during the past week by 3000 requests to 217 thousand requests compared to the previous week, which recorded 214 thousand applications according to the initial data.

Analysts anticipated that there would be 220,000 requests.
The ministry also said that, over the previous week, which saw 212250 requests, the average number of requests over the previous four weeks rose to 219 thousand, an increase of 6750 requests.

The high number of unemployment benefits in America did not rise as rapidly as anticipated.
