The Algerian “Sonatrach” signs new contracts with national and foreign companies

The Algerian Sonatrach complex signed five new contracts with domestic and international businesses on Thursday, including one worth 56 billion Algerian dinars in favour of the Italian firm “Technimont.”
Two development contracts were signed with the Italian firms “Technimont” and “Arkad,” according to a statement from the complex, for engineering, supply, and construction.

A contract was signed with the Italian firm “Technimont” to complete a factory in the form of engineering, supply, and construction to extract liquefied petroleum gas, with a value similar to 56 billion Algerian dinars, in order to develop the hydrocarbon field “Al-Bakl” in the country’s south.

The estimated completion time for this factory is 36 months. The expected treatment capacity of this factory is 10 million cubic metres per day of the accompanying gas, which will allow the production of 1000 tonnes per day of LNG, 300 tonnes per day of condensate, and 8. 7 million cubic metres per day of gas.

A contract for the engineering, delivery, and building of a 14-inch pipeline over a distance of 65 km was signed with the Sonatrach branch known as “The National Channel Corporation” concurrently with the opening of this factory.
The liquefied petroleum gas that this factory will create can be transported via this line to the LNG network “LR1” in Hassi Masoud. It has a contractual value of $9 and will be finished in 20 months.

On the other hand, during the event, three further contracts for the supply of equipment with creative businesses and start-ups were inked.
These contracts allow Sonatrach to acquire equipment for fuel processing units from innovative Algerian companies that were able to manufacture these equipment locally, which were imported in hard currency previously.

In this context, a contract for 140 million dinars was given to the startup “Gansf” for the design, production, and installation of separation equipment on two levels at the level of the LNG processing facility in Hassi Masoud.

The gas processing unit benefits from “Tin Foy Tabankort,” and this is for both the National Corporation for the General Activities of Industry and the National Corporation for the Industry of Mineral and Copper Structures in an amount equivalent to 69 million Algerian dinars each. Two contracts were also awarded to design, manufacture, and supply high and low-pressure three-pressure separation equipment.

A contract relating to the completion of a life base for workers at the pumping station under the completion of the Shafa Ghari in Hassi Masoud in the south of the country was signed between Sonatrach and the branch of the “National Civil Engineering and Building Company.”

The same source noted that this rule may accommodate between 82 and 120 beds, and that it will take 24 months to complete this facility, which has a contractual value of 3. 4 billion Algerian dinars.
