Tesla for kids recalled over safety violations

Due to safety issues, Tesla is recalling thousands of its children’s ATVs.
The Cyberquad all-terrain vehicle (ATV) from Tesla has a variable top speed of 16 km/h and a range of up to 24 km.
It was designed with kids aged 8 to 12 in mind, however as of this morning, the product page on Tesla’s website cannot be viewed.
In accordance with federal safety regulations for ATVs, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) today announced that 5000 Cyberquads had been recalled.

The phrase “mechanical suspension and maximum tyre pressure” was used to describe this.
The CPSC noted that the Cyberquad does not have an authorised ATV action plan, which is necessary to produce, import, sell, or distribute ATVs.

“ATV action plans contain numerous safety requirements, such as rider training, dissemination of safety information, age recommendations, and other safety measures – these ATV safety standards are in place to reduce crash and injury hazards, preventing serious injury or death. ”
The Cyberquad, which closely resembles Tesla’s Cybertruck in design, is only available through Tesla and is made by the American company Radio Flyer.

On its website, Radio Flyer stated, “Radio Flyer has 105 years of tradition in delivering safe, high-quality products that families can trust.”
“We take children’s safety very seriously. The Cyberquad for Kids (Model #914) has been voluntarily recalled by Radio Flyer after close collaboration with the CPSC.”
For the Cyberquad, refunds are being provided.
Tesla itself is currently dealing with another recall controversy. In the US, 24,000 Tesla 2017-2022 Model 3 vehicles are being recalled over a seat belt issue.

According to Reuters, the manufacturer stated that the second row centre seat belt anchor and second row left seat belt buckle may have been misassembled during vehicle service.
It included details on more than 100 warranty claims and service repairs for US vehicles that might be connected to the problem.
