PSV away fans banned for next European game

— (Reuters) After crowd disturbances marred PSV Eindhoven’s Europa League loss against Arsenal last week, UEFA announced on Thursday that they have been instructed to play their upcoming European competition game without their visiting fans.
During the game at the Emirates Stadium in London, which PSV won 1-0, PSV supporters tore up seats and lighted flares, hurling one toward Arsenal supporters.
Bodo/Glimt of Norway will be PSV’s next opponent on the road in a European matchup on November 3.

PSV must “approach Arsenal FC within 30 days for the settlement of damages committed by its supporters, i.e. for the destroyed seats,” according to UEFA’s further directive.
Later on Thursday, PSV will play Arsenal at the Philips Stadium. With 12 points after four games, Arsenal is in first place in Group A, five points clear of the Dutch team in second.

PSV away supporters are prohibited from the following European match.
