Officers seize $136,000 worth of cannabis, vaping products from N.B. dispensary

Cannabis and vaping products worth $136,000 have been confiscated by New Brunswick police from what they claim is an illicit business in Moncton.
The Codiac Regional RCMP and departmental officials carried out a search warrant at the dispensary on October 13 according to a statement released on Thursday by the Department of Justice for New Brunswick.
Two guys, 41 and 44 years old, were detained and then released. The announcement stated that “the situation is still being investigated and charges are being explored.”

The press statement stated that Cannabis NB, which controls retail cannabis sales in the province, is the only retailer of recreational cannabis that is legally permitted in New Brunswick.
It said that unlicensed dispensaries are unregulated and occasionally sell goods that have not been examined or approved by Health Canada.
