Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, Prime Minister, and the ruler of Dubai, was received by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi today, Thursday.
The visit of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to Egypt coincides with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Egypt and the UAE. According to Bassam Radi, a spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, President Sisi welcomed him and emphasised what unites the two nations and their peoples.
He expressed his gratitude and pride for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s support of Egypt and the efforts that have been made to forge the bonds of historical links between the two nations and the two benevolent peoples.
Bin Rashid, for his part, expressed gratitude to the President and the Egyptian people for the warm welcome, highlighting the special status Egypt and its people enjoy among Emiratis as well as the significant role played by the Egyptian community in the Emirates as a civilised bridge connecting the two brotherly countries. He also praised Egypt’s political leadership for its positions and its prudent approach to current affairs.
