A number of automakers, including Hyundai Motor and Mercedes Benz Korea, are to call in more than 490,000 vehicles to fix component faults, the South Korean Ministry of Transport revealed today, Thursday.
According to a statement from the South Korean Infrastructure and Transportation Ministry, a total of 493152 vehicles in 35 various sizes are being summoned by the six businesses, which also include the Kia Group, Tsala Motors Korea, Volkswagen Korea, and Pelin Motors Group.
According to the South Korean Yonhap News Agency, the issues that led to the summons decisions include flaws in the electric window system system system 3 Model 3 of Tesla Electric Car Industry Company, problems with the security belt system in the front seats of Hyundai Motor Santafi Sports Cars, and flaws in the back door of the Mercedes GL450.
According to the ministry, owners of these vehicles can go to reform centres and companies that offer free part replacement services.
