Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, the president of the Yemeni Presidential Command Council, emphasised the significance of energising the role of international organisations in easing Yemeni people’s suffering, defending rights and freedoms, and opposing arbitrary Houthi measures against women, restrictions on their travel, and the freedom to transfer people and goods.
The Yemeni News Agency stated that this came during the meeting of the President of the Yemeni Presidential Command Council, today, Wednesday, with the ICRC mission headed by the director of the committee’s operations, Martin Shweib, and with him the head of the committee’s mission in Yemen, Catherina Ritz, where he praised the role of the committee in protecting the war victims The Houthi group set it off, along with the coordination of actions and relief efforts and the strengthening of the application of the norms of international humanitarian law, pertinent covenants, and treaties.
