The country’s minimum wage will increase to 3,000 pounds per month, Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly stated today, Wednesday.
He declared that the government will provide compensation and support for jobs lost in businesses as a result of the current challenges.
In a news conference held today, on Wednesday, he said that a special stipend of 300 pounds per month for state employees and pensioners had been granted.
The Council of Ministers adopted various decisions at its meeting today, which was held following the conclusion of the activities of the Economic Conference – Egypt 2022.
The Council of Ministers approved a draft decision of the President of the Republic regarding the memorandum of understanding on strategic technical cooperation between Egypt and the French Republic, in the field of developing the green hydrogen sector in Egypt, signed in Cairo on May 30, 2022, according to which France provides an amount of 500 thousand euros as a grant that is not returned, through Its financial development institution “AFD AFD”.
