In the fifth game of the Champions League group stage today evening, Tuesday, the Seville team defeated its Danish Copenhagen visitor (3-0) to earn a significant victory.
The players Youssef Al-Nusairi of Morocco, Isco of Spain, and Gonzalo Montel of Argentina recorded the Spanish team’s trilogy in the minutes (61, 88, and 90, respectively) following the start of the match at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium in Seville.
The Seville team won its first victory in the Champions League (2022-2023), after two losses and two draws, raising its score to 5 points and ranked third in the ranking of the Group Seven table (G), and revived its hopes in reaching the round of 16 of the tournament.
Prior to this evening’s encounter, Manchester City, the group’s leader with 10 points, was ahead of Borussia Dortmund, its German hosts, who was in second place with 7 points.
When Copenhagen’s balance reached two points, it remained in fourth place and formally announced its exit from the competition.
