Iranian authorities cut the Internet during forty -year -old protests

After marking the forty days since Muhsa Amini’s death, the authorities in Saqz, Kurdistan Governorate, western Iran, cut off internet communication.
On Wednesday, Iranians gathered, in a cemetery in the Iranian province of Kurdistan, in which the young woman buried Mhisa Amini on the fortieth anniversary of her death, and they challenged the strict security measures imposed to honor her with the end of the mourning period.

The murder of Iranian Kurdish Amani, 22, on September 16, three days after it was detained by the Ethics Police due to its disregard for the tight clothing code, sparked protests in Iran. which he spent with dozens of people, the most of whom were protesters, but also with members of the security forces, and the government dispersed thousands of “rioters.”

According to the “ISNA” agency, “about 10,000 people, mostly from the city of Saqz but also from nearby cities, travelled to the cemetery to resurrect the forty.

She stated that “the internet connection was cut off in the city of Saqz for security reasons after separate tensions and confrontations that took place after the commemoration of the anniversary,” and further stated that the atmosphere in the city “has become a little tense” since the participants returned to commemorate the anniversary.

Internet access was blocked by Iranian authorities during the 40-year-old demonstrations.
