Darwin Nunez, a striker for Liverpool, hailed Mohamed Salah, a teammate from Egypt, and said that Salah had helped him settle in at his new club at the start of this season.
Nunez participated in 12 games across all competitions for Liverpool this season, scoring five goals and assisting a teammate with a pivotal pass.
Nunez told “ESPN” that Salah is fantastic both inside and outside the stadium.
He continued: When I arrived in Liverpool and during the preparation camp before the start of the season, I was keen to always talk to him, Fibenio worked as a translator between us.
He continued, “I was quite tense throughout the first matches, I didn’t exercise much, and things weren’t going well with me.”
He continued: Salah called me and advised me to calm down, he told me that my need for a time in order to adapt to the atmosphere is a natural thing, this is what happened with him in 2017, he did not speak English well and told me that he should learn it quickly.
He closed by saying he would always back the team captains and me in what I was doing at Benfica.
Nunez scored a goal for Salah during their team’s match against Fulham at the opening of the English Premier League, giving him goals in all 11 of their games together this season.
