Foreign airlines double the transport to Russia

In the first nine months of 2022, foreign airlines transported over 8.7 million passengers to and from Russia, more than double the previous year’s total.
For comparison, foreign airlines in the same period last year reported approximately 4 million people, according to the newspaper “Ezvsitia”, quoting the report of the Russian Civil Aviation Agency.

On the other hand, from January to September of this year, the number of passengers flying internationally on Russian airlines fell by 16% to 13 million.
A source in the Russian Ministry of Transport told the newspaper that 50 foreign airlines are organizing flights now to Russia, including 39 airlines that are carrying out passengers and 6 other companies organizing shipping and passengers.

Azerbaijan, Algeria, Armenia, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Belarus, Venezuela, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Kazakhstan, Qatar, China, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, United Arab Emirates, Serbia, and Syria are among the 26 nations from which these companies are planning travel.
