Esperance began his career this campaign in the Tunisian League championship, defeating its youthful Hilal by a score of 1/2 in the second group of the competition on Wednesday.
Esperance, who played his first match in the group, won the first three points in his career, to occupy the third place, while the crescent of the young Hilal, who fought his third meeting in the group, frozen at 3 points in fifth place.
Esperance (the defending champion) advanced with an early goal that bearing the signature of Mohamed Faisal Abu Zeriq in the fourth minute, before Hamdo Al -Huni added the second goal in the 33rd minute, while Mohamed Aziz Boussa scored the only goal of Hilal in the 35th minute.
Following their 2-0 win over Najm Al-Mitlwi, Etihad Bin Qirdan temporarily held the top spot in the first group.
Bin Qirdan’s balance rose to 6 points from 3 games in the lead temporarily until the remaining round matches ended, while the balance of Najm Al -Mitlwi, who played his second meeting in the group, remained without points, to be at the back of the ranking.
After scoring both of Ben Qirdan’s goals in the 35th and 89th minutes, Rafik Al-Kamraji took centre stage in the game.
Esperance defeats the young crescent to begin his career in the Tunisian league.
