Egyptian official: “The invitation to King Charles III to attend COP27 List”

The United Nations Climate Change Conference (COB 27), which is expected in November at a time when economic and geopolitical unrest is a clear impact on food security, public health, and so on.
Former British Prime Minister Liz Treis objected to King Charles III’s invitation to the COP27 Climate Summit in Egypt in November, but a top Egyptian official indicated on Tuesday that the invitation is still in place.

According to him, “more than 90” leaders of state or government will attend the Climate Conference in Sharm El-Sheikh (6-18 November).
During an electronic briefing for the incoming presidency of the 27th Party Conference, Mohamed Nasr, head of climate affairs at the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said, “From our point of view about King Charles, it is an open invitation.”

The ambassador stressed that the next British monarch was “a staunch advocate of climate work and a role model,” adding, “We are still hoping that he will be able to come to Sharm El-Sheikh. King Charles III will not ascend to the top of the climate, according to confirmation from Buckingham Palace in early October.

In early October, Buckingham Palace confirmed that King Charles III will not go to the summit of the climate, after press reports that British Prime Minister Liz Tracras raised “objections” to the king’s participation in it.
The British daily reports that the recently abdicated new king, a champion of environmental causes, is to make a statement at the climate summit (6–18 November).

When he met the monarch in person at Buckingham Palace in September, a terrace there at the time hindered his plans and complained to it.
