2021 StatCan immigration census shows record-breaking numbers

Statistics Canada’s most recent population census data reveals unprecedented levels of immigration.
The biggest proportion of immigrants in more than 150 years, according to the 2021 census report, made up about a quarter of Canada’s population in 2017.
And by 2041, it’s predicted that even more immigrants will make up the population—about one-third of it.

Approximately 4% of people in Manitoba identify as immigrants, which is a 1% decrease from 2016.
