The Kremlin comments on cooperation with Turkey

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Turkey did not join the sanctions imposed by the West on Moscow, and it is one of the largest Russian gas buyers.
“Turkey maintains a chance to act as a mediator and adopts a different stance toward the nations of the collective West.

Turkey has not complied with the sanctions imposed by Western nations and instead acts in accordance with its national interests when it comes to trade and commercial contacts with our nation. In this regard, the issue is one that benefits both the Turkish people and our bilateral relations.
Turkey is currently among the country’s top gas customers, according to the Russian presidential spokesman.

In an earlier speech at the plenary session of the “Russian Energy Week” forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that by establishing a “gas centre,” Russia could pump the quantities of gas that Europe lost due to the damage of the “Northern Cell” tubes to European countries through Turkey. He claims that this solution is both economically feasible and highly secure.
