Saudi Foreign Minister discusses with his Yemeni counterpart the Houthi attacks on Yemeni oil ports

News from Al Madinah: Yemeni Foreign Minister Ahmed bin Mubarak discussed in a telephone conversation with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, today, Tuesday, the repercussions of the recent Houthi attacks on the oil ports in the provinces of Hadramout and Shabwa.

According to the Yemeni News Agency, the two parties talked about the impact of these attacks on regional security and stability, global navigation, and the security of energy supplies, which constitute a “severe threat” and worsen the suffering of the Yemeni people.

In order to address the actions of the Houthi group and what he described as its threat to security and peace in the region, Bin Mubarak emphasised the importance of unifying efforts and joint work in international fora, to adopt a firm international stance towards these actions, and to work to classify the Houthis as “a global terrorist group.”
