Russian Antioch faces deprivation of her gold in the 2012 Olympics

Natalia Antioach, a Russian, has been threatened with having the gold medal she won in the 400-meter hurdles event at the London 2012 Olympics stripped from her after it was discovered that it had been ingested by a prohibited substance during the analysis of the samples that were withheld from competition.
Late on Monday night, the Athletics Integrity Unit announced that Antiokh had been disqualified from all contests contested between July 2012 and June 2013.

As a result, the American Lashinda Dimos, who had finished the race in second place, may get the gold medal that had been awarded, and the International Olympic Committee will be in charge of the process of redistributing the medals.
Also, Antioach was among the Russian team that participated in the 4 x 400 meters race in the 2012 Olympics, but the team had already been stripped of the silver medal after it was proven that another team’s running was used for stimulants.

Based on investigations made by Richard McLaren to the World Anti-Doping Agency on the subject of Russian doping, Antioch was penalised last year with a four-year suspension of the decision of the International Sports Arbitration Court (Cass) and it was decided to remove Antiokh from all the competitions that have been established since 2013.

Russian Antioch might lose her gold medal from the 2012 Olympics.
