Shortly after accepting Liz Tarch’s resignation, Charles III, the King of Britain, named Rishi Sonak, the head of the new Conservative Party, as prime minister, becoming the second prime minister in his reign.
According to the pictures released by Buckingham Palace, the 42-year-old former minister of money met the king for the first time after arriving at the palace at 10:07 GMT.
Les Tarras, the prime minister of the resigned government, was appointed by Queen Elizabeth II on September 6 at the Scottish Palace Palace. He passed away two days later, marking the first occasion King Charles III has designated a prime minister.
In his first statement to the “10 Downing Street” portal, the new British Prime Minister warned of “difficult decisions” that would be taken to reform the “mistakes” committed during the Liz Terrace era, which was forced to resign after a financial storm raised by its economic program.
The 42-year-old Rishi Sonak declared, “I will place economic stability and economic confidence at the centre of this government’s mission. This necessitates the adoption of difficult decisions.
“Sonak” is formally appointed as the British prime minister by King Charles III.
