Following the final meeting of her administration, former British Prime Minister Liz Treis gave a goodbye speech in which she underlined “the need to support Ukraine in its struggle against Russia and continue to improve our defences.

According to the news website “Russia Today,” she noted that “my government has committed to its pledge to abolish the rise in national insurance and displayed its solid commitment to support of Ukraine in its struggle against Russia.”
“We cannot bear to be a weak country,” she stressed, adding: “We continue to fight through a storm, but I believe in Britain, and I believe in the British people and I know that more brighter days await us.
She also wished Rishi Sonak, her successor, “All Success” in his new role.
After the end of her statement, Tarrach left the headquarters of the government heading to Buckingham Palace to submit her resignation to King Charles III..
