Lavrov: Washington’s attempts and European countries to isolate and marginalize Russia are failing

Sergey Lavrov, the foreign minister of Russia, declared that Washington and the European nations it orbits are making efforts to isolate and marginalise Russia in international affairs.

In a speech captured on video delivered during the plenary session of the twenty-fourth session of the international complex of the general Russian peoples, Lavrov said: “Today’s world is no longer centred on the West; rather, it has split into multiple poles because it is now impossible to reverse the course of history.

“The peoples of the world want to live according to the cultural and civilizational foundations, which they inherited from their ancestors, and they reject the false liberal approaches, which are imposed by Western elites and that then encourage destructive behaviour patterns, causing irreparable harm to moral values,” Lavrov continued, adding that Russian diplomacy will continue to work to ensure the development of communication between nations based on the principles of introspection and reflection.

“The International Complex for the General Russian Peoples is a forum established in 1993, and it is a platform for meeting those interested in the present and future of Russia regardless of political opinions. Representatives of all sectors of government, civil society leaders, and religious leaders for all traditional religions in Russia participate in the meetings, as well as Russian delegates in each location and from the outside, and the complex is headed by the Russian Ambassador to the United States.

Lavrov: European nations’ and Washington’s efforts to marginalise and exclude Russia are failing.
