Itida announces the qualification of 21 Egyptian companies for the program to develop information technology export capabilities for the European market

After passing the center’s review processes, the Information Technology Industry Development Authority (Itida) announced that 21 Egyptian companies had qualified for the programme to build export capacity for the European market offered by the “Import Promotion Center from Developing Countries” of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The programme is a part of the cooperation agreement between the authority and the centre that was also signed by the Egyptian Society for Information, Communications, Electronics and Software (Communication), Nile University, and the Chamber of Information and Communications Technology Industry.

The programme aims to develop the capabilities and competitiveness of Egyptian small and medium-sized businesses engaged in the information technology services sector in order to make them eligible to export software products and services to the European market, as well as to create business management programmes and other things.

The “Import Promotion Center from Developing Countries” supports small and medium-sized local businesses for the duration of the programme, which is 3 years long. During this time, international and local experts provide technical and consulting assistance to help businesses become qualified and give them the knowledge and skills they need to compete in the European market.

The programme offers technical assistance to businesses so they may create their market entry and implementation strategies, introduce the various accreditation certificates required to join the markets, and offer information and assistance in obtaining these credentials. The programme also helps the participating businesses become more socially responsible while assisting them in locating export prospects and forming business alliances in the European market.

The majority of the program’s expenditures are covered by the centre, but businesses are also responsible for some travel costs, actions to join the European market, investments in services and products, and certification fees.

Itida announced the qualification of 21 Egyptian businesses for the initiative to increase their ability to export information technology to markets in Europe.
