Wallace will continue serving as the defence minister in the administration of the incoming prime minister Rishi Sonak, “Downing Street” announced on Tuesday.
The British (Sky News) channel reported that Sonak, appointed Dominic Rap as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, and Jeremy Hunt and James Cleverly maintained their positions two ministers of treasury and external respectively.
Wallace is one of the select few ministers that held onto their post during the administrations of Boris Johnson and Les Taras. He is presently serving under Rishi Sonak’s leadership of the government.
Rishi Sonak was officially tasked earlier today with forming the next government by Britain’s King Charles III.
Downg Street: In the new Sonak administration, Between Wallace is still the minister of defence.
