The death of the famous Egyptian lawyer, Farid Al -Deeb

The daughter of attorney Farid El-Deeb, anchor Hanan Al-Deeb, revealed in a statement to “Sky News Arabia” that her father passed away this morning. His body will be taken to the Sayyida Zainab Mosque in the heart of Cairo for a funeral following the noon prayer, and he will be laid to rest in the family graves in the city of 6th of October in Giza, she said.
She stated that plans were being made for a consolation date and location, and that these specifics would be revealed later.

One of Al-students, Deeb’s lawyer Shaaban Saeed, told Sky News Arabia that the well-known attorney’s condition had gotten worse over the previous two weeks despite the fact that doctors had been visiting him at home. This was after a problem that led to the hospitalisation of the patient due to “Leukemia” leukaemia.

Farid Al-Deeb was born in 1943, graduated from the Faculty of Law in 1963, and served as a Public Prosecution agent until 1969, when he and other agents were fired as part of what was then referred to as the “massacre of judges.”
The late attorney was well recognised for focusing on cases involving adults, the most well-known defendants, or those cases that were contentious.
He assumed the defense of the late Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and his two sons.

The last contentious case in which Al-Deeb offered to represent the accused involved the murder of Nira Ashraf, a student at Mansoura University, by a colleague. The court had decided to have him executed, but Al-Deeb stabbed the decision by pointing out that there were errors that were marred, which sparked a significant uproar.
Al-Deeb passed away before arranging a hearing to present his case and evaluate the appeal.
