Members of the Medical System Organization in Tehran and Isfahan announced the organisation of demonstrations on Wednesday and Thursday in protest against the security forces’ interference in operations treatment, despite the oppression and repression carried out by the Iranian regime’s arms against the protesters and in conjunction with the attack on a gathering of doctors in Shiraz, in the south of the country.
Videos of several doctors in Shiraz chanting “Death to the tyrant” and holding signs in front of the “Medical System” building have gone viral on social media.
The slogans “Senndge Zahedan, Ain and Nour Iran,” “Iran has become a graveyard from Shiraz to Kurdistan,” and “We do not want a fatal regime for children” were also raised by members of the medical cadres in the medical system building in Shiraz.
The security personnel used fishing bullets and tear gas to attack this crowd.
Members of the “medical system” criticised the deployment of security personnel in healing spaces. They demanded that an appropriate environment be provided to provide medical services to all the injured, and that the security forces do not interfere in the treatment process.
In order to prevent the public from losing faith in the medical system, doctors also urged for safeguarding the secrecy of information about the injured who evaluate the treatment centres and keeping the independence of the nation’s forensic system.
Other expectations made of doctors in the declaration included the need to protect society from physical and psychological harm, especially to children and adolescents, and to protect the physical and mental health of prisoners and their families.
Members of the “medical system” in the Isfahan Governorate urged, in a statement to them at the same time, that they provide secure environments for trade union assemblies and conduct a discourse on the medical and social approach anyplace, on Thursday, in the “Medical System” building.
Physicians from Tehran and Isfahan have called for significant protests on Wednesday and Thursday.
