Pfizer vaccine available for Sask. children six months to four years on Oct. 26

Children aged six months to four years old can obtain the Pfizer immunisation on Wednesday, October 26, at clinics run by the Saskatchewan Health Authority and Indigenous Services Canada.
It has received Health Canada’s approval.
Although the province’s partner pharmacies are presently providing COVID-19 immunizations and boosters, pharmacists are not permitted to provide vaccinations to children under the age of five.

Children between the ages of six months and four years are eligible for the primary dosage series of three doses.
It is advised that children who have had COVID-19 receive the medication eight weeks after infection.
Residents aged six months and older can also get seasonal flu vaccines at partnering pharmacies, during scheduled visits, and during SHA walk-ins.

Sask. children between six months to four years can get the Pfizer vaccine starting on October 26.
