After his rivals withdrew, former British Finance Minister Rishi Sonak was elected head of the Conservative Party and prime minister of the United Kingdom.
He got 151 applicants, advanced on Boris Johnson and Benny Mordnet, The former British Finance Minister was the most popular candidate among conservative legislators in Parliament in the race for the leadership earlier this year.

After engaging in a re-tour against Tarras, he was defeated in a vote in which roughly 170,000 party members took part.
Sonak was born in Southampton in 1980 into a family of immigrants; his parents emigrated to England in the 1960s after his ancestors left Punjab in northwest India for East Africa.
According to the “Britannica” website, his mother was a pharmacist and his father was a general physician.

Sonak attended “Winchister College” before enrolling at the University of “Oxford.” After graduating from Oxford in 2001, he started working as an analyst for Goldman Sachs, where he remained until 2004.

But while working as a researcher for the Volibright programme, he pursued a master’s degree in business administration at Stanford University, where he met the woman who would become his wife, Akshata Mortthi, the daughter of billionaire Indian businessman and Infosys co-founder Nariyana Mortthi.
Due of his commercial success and his wife’s lack of children,

91 percent of Infosys, the pair started amassing a substantial fortune that, according to the Sunday Times, will be worth approximately 730 million pounds ($877 million) in 2022.
In 2010, Sonak began working for the Conservative Party, and during this period he was also involved in Policy Exchange, a leading research institution in the field of conservatives, as he became head of the Black and Ethnic Research Unit (BME) in 2014.

Sonak co-authored a booklet with Sarata Rajiswran, Vice President of the Unit, titled “Image of Modern Britain,” which was published by Policy Exchange in that year.
He was chosen to represent the Ricchund in northern Yorkshire as the Conservative Party’s candidate for the House of Commons in 2014.
Following his re-election to Parliament in 2017 and 2019, he supported Prime Minister Theresa May’s proposals for Britain’s exit from the European Union three times.

From 2015 to 2017 he was a member of the Environmental, Food and Rural Affairs Committee and a private parliamentary secretary in the Ministry of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
He was appointed as a state agent in the Ministry of Housing, Communities, and Local Government in January 2018 to serve in his first ministerial capacity.
